The 2010 Petit Manseng has a nose that is filled with velvety violets and ripe cantalope.  The attack is well rounded with undertones of honeysuckle.  The mid-palate expands slightly to include even more tropical undertones.  The finish is delightfully light with strong undercurrents of mango, pink grapefruit and peaches in a heavy sauce.

Gentle handling of the fruit and judicious filtering program kept the tropical fruit flavors at the heart and soul of this wine.

Pairing with Petit Mansent can be a challenge because of the perceived sweetness.  I encourage members to try this wine with roast turkey or scallops in a light cream sauce.

Drinking very nicely now, I do not anticipate this wine growing significantly in the coming years.
